The Lone Star Life
Our family LOVES sharing our Texas lifestyle and lifelong passion for horses with other families. Lone Star Ranches is family run and both of our founders are devoted equestrians. One is a cowboy and the other is an eventer... so it just makes sense that we offer quality instruction for BOTH English & Western Disciplines. We have grown to 3 locations in Austin over the last 15 years. At Lone Star Ranch we raise and breed Hanoverians, Quarter Horses and Championship Texas Longhorn cattle. Our clients LOVE that we have so many amazing horses, instructors and offer such diversified ranching, equestrian riding & outdoor acvitivy opportunities. Lone Star Riding Club is proud to be the only Certified United States Pony Club (USPC) Riding Center in Austin, Texas. Our goal is to provide solid training foundations for our clients to ensure successful in pursuit of any equine sport specialty or discipline. We focus on horsemanship and animal husbandry education equally as the mounted instruction. Our USPC curriculum is internationally recognized with Safety being the #1 priority!
​Several renowned trainers call Lone Star Ranch "Home". They run their businesses out of our facilities, for their clients. For those that have their own horses and need discipline specific trainers, we can connect you with those programs. We also host an array of clinics for those that want to visit us and continue their equestrian educations. We absolutely LOVE training our beginner & intermediate students! Anyone that wants to learn more about horses and families that embrace the equestrian & livestock lifestyle.. We are your barn home! With over 100 lesson & trail horses, we have the perfect mount for each student. We do offer limited opportunities for members to compete on our show teams, travel off site, lease horses and enjoy excursions off property. ​Our clients enjoy the positive, encouraging ranchy' atmosphere. Despite our students being diverse in their training goals, we all enjoy being united as Texans and Horse Lovers! The lesson coordinators are amazing at perfectly pairing up our coaches, students and finding you the appropriate class to achieve your goals.
